It is a biblically inspired FACT that Jesus did promise to Return in judgment of all men in HIS GENERATION …In Mt.23:29 Jesus said all the dead all the way back to creation would be JUDGED in that generation!
Heb.10:37 the writer said IN A VERY VERY little while he who is coming will come and not tarry!
The Greek in this text is very emphatic. This is the context of the promise of the second coming of Hebrews 9:28!
A declaration in the clearest terms written about 60 AD that Christ’s coming was IMMINENT and there would be no delay.
Yet futurists claim there has been a delay for over 2000 years!
Peter said Jesus was ready to judge the living and the dead 1 Pete 4:5!
He said THE TIME HAS COME FOR JUDGMENT! (Literally THE JUDGMENT) to begin at the HOUSE OF GOD (4:17) . Peter’s word TIME (Gk.Kairos) literally means THE APPOINTED TIME. DESIGNATED TIME.
THEREFORE, Peter said that God’s appointed time for the judgment had come!
James said the PAROUSIA of the Lord is “at hand” (literally has drawn near) and the judge IS standing at the door Jms.5:7-9!
In REVELATION a book that tells us over and over its predictions MUST SHORTLY COME TO PASS (Rev.1:1-3; 22:6,10,12) and
says in 11:15-18 THE TIME FOR THE JUDGMENT OF THE DEAD HAS COME!
In Rev.22:12 Jesus DIRECTLY QUOTES His own recorded words by Matthew 16:27-28 He would return in judgment while some of those standing there were still alive!
Some 35 years later in Revelation. Jesus repeats His promise of coming in judgment. THIS TIME HE SAYS, BEHOLD I COME QUICKLY AND MY REWARD IS WITH ME TO REWARD EVERY MAN ACCORDING TO HIS WORK!
YOU CANNOT SAY HE HAS (NOT) DONE THIS WITHOUT SAYING JESUS HAS LIED OR FAILED!
